A 24-year-old man landed in jail after he allegedly hurling invectives at and resisting arrest by Manila policemen during an ‘Oplan Galugad’ at Block-1 Dubai, BASECO Compound, Barangay 649, Port Area, Manila.
Charged by the Manila Police District -Police Station 13 with cases of violation of Art. 151 of RPC (Resistance and Disobedience to an Agent of a Person in Authority) and Art. 148 of RPC (Direct Assault) was suspect Junior Francisco, of 578 Block-1 Dubai, BASECO Compound, Barangay 649, Port Area, Manila.
Police said that at around 12 a.m., an Oplan Galugad’ was being conducted by PSSg Rhea Lourdes Jao, Pat. Aaron Justin Tumbaga and Pat. Allan Cel Dayao when they caught the suspect in violation of the Manila curfew ordinance.
Instead of just going home after being told by the cops to do so, the suspect got angry and began cursing the cops.
When he was going to be arrested, the suspect resisted so that the police were prompted to use force to pacify him and bring him to the nearest precinct for proper disposition.
