Zaragosa’s no. 5 most wanted man captured

ZARAGOSA, Nueva Ecija – This town’s fifth most wanted felon was nabbed at his hideout during Oplan Manhunt Charlie conducted on Monday here.

In his report to Police Regional Office 3 chief, Brig. Gen. Valeriano T. De Leon, Col. Marvin Joe C. Saro, provincial police head identified the arrested suspect as Ferdinand Medrano, 57, of Bgy. San Isidro, this town.

Warrant operatives under the supervision of town police commander Major Nelson D. Sarmiento nabbed the suspect at his lair at 5:45 p.m.

Sarmiento said the suspect did not resist arrest after being served two arrest warrants for robbery and theft that were issued respectively by Presiding Judges Angelo C. Perez, of the Cabanatuan City regional trial court Branch 27, and Rachelle De Guzman-Ernie, of the Zaragosa Municipal Trial Court.

A separate bail bond amounting to P80,000 and P12,000 for robbery and theft, respectively was set by the courts for the suspect’s temporary liberty.
