Murder suspect nabbed by MPD-DPIOU in Rizal

A murder suspect tagged as the ‘Top Regional Most Wanted’ was arrested by operatives from the Manila Police District‘s District Police Intelligence and Operations Unit (DPIOU).

DPIOU head PMaj. Kevin Rey Bautista, in his report, identified the accused as J-Mark Martin Custodio, 33. a Lalamove rider and residing in Sampaloc, Manila. He was nabbed by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued against him for a crime of murder.

Bautista said the operation was conducted by his team along Block 6, Lot 10, Purok 1, Brgy Silangan, San Mateo, Rizal at 3:55 p.m. on March 25, 2026.

Following the arrest, the accused was brought to the Justice Jose Abad Santos General Hospital (JASGH) for a physical examination before being turned over to the DPIOU office for proper documentation.

The DPIOU said the operation was done through the guidance of PLTol. Robert Sales, DID/D2-MPD.

The warrant was issued by Judge Harry Boy Ariola Salvador of the Manila Regional Trial Court Branch 185 in connection with the case of the accused docketed under Criminal Case No. R-MNl-25-06767-CR. No bail was recommended by the court for his temporary liberty.

Meantime, the arrested accused was duly informed about the nature of the case being imputed against him and was apprised of his Constitutional rights under R.A. 7438, in a language known to and understood by him, but he opted to remain silent.

Likewise, in compliance with Supreme Court A.M. 21-06-08-SC, an Alternative Recording Device (SAMSUNG A53) was used during the implementation of the warrant of arrest, Bautista said.

The arrested accused was temporarily detained at Manila Police District Custodial Facility Jail Section prior to the return of the said arrest warrant to the court of origin and while waiting for the issuance of a commitment order from the court.
