IN the wake of the magnitude 6.3 earthquake that struck off Calatagan, Batangas on Christmas Day two more temblors shook Southern Luzon.
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology reported a magnitude 4.3 earthquake was recorded off Lubang Island in Occidental Mindoro at 4:37 p.m. Friday.
Later at 6 p.m. a much stronger magnitude 5.2 quake hit near the town of San Francisco, Quezon province.
Phivolcs has so far recorded 20 aftershocks after the earthquake in Batangas.
A strong magnitude 4.1 aftershock was felt at 9:34 last night.
Aftershocks may be expected over subsequent weeks, Phivolcs Director Renato Solidum said.
There were no deaths or injuried in the Batangas tremor and damage to property was minimal.
