OTS chief relieves three personnel on complaint of tourist

Office for Transportation Security (OTS) Administrator USec Gilbert Cruz has warned that the OTS under his leadership has no room for shenanigans.

Cruz made the declaration as he ordered the relief of three personnel who were suspected of having involvement in the case of an Australian tourist who claimed to have lost P7,000.

Those relieved were two screeners and their supervisor whose names are being withheld pending the outcome of a full-blown investigation.

On orders of Cruz, Transport Security Risk Management Service Director Nicolas Quemado, Jr. signed the order of relief of the personnel concerned.

Said personnel were, in the exigency of the service, relieved from NAIA Terminal 3 and were transferred to the SSOS head office.

Cruz said all concerned personnel are being investigated for the possible filing of criminal and administrative cases, if warranted.
