MOA for free wifi at City Hall signed by Mayor Honey

Free Wifi MOA

Now, transactions at the Manila City Hall will be a lot faster.

This, after Mayor Honey Lacuna signed a memorandum of agreement for the installation of free wifi in City Hall.

Lacuna said some friends of the city from Korea donated free wifi, starting with City Hall itself.

The donation was contained in a MOA and done in coordination with the electronic data processing department headed by Fortune Palileo and the Manila Disaster Risk Rediction Management Office (MDRRMO) under Arnel Angeles with whose effort the agreement was made.

After City Hall, the mayor said that the said group of Koreans will be installing the same kind of free wifit in the two colleges being run by the city government, namely the Universidad de Manila and the Pamantasan ng Lungsod Maynila.

“Malaki talaga ang nagagawa ng pagiging magaling na kaibigan. These Koreans are friends of MDRRMO Director Arnel Angeles,” she said.

Lacuna thanked the Koreans, led by Danny Seo of Artbi Global Phil. Corp and Ifree Co. Ltd. headed by its chief executive officer ParkTae Kyu whom she said donated to the city 20 units of 4G wifi routers which will be placed in city hall offices for faster transaction.

The mayor said this is especially needed in the revenue-generating offices in City Hall such as the permits bureau and the renewal section of the city treasurer’s office.

The six hospitals being run by the city will also be installed with the free wifi, Lacuna added.
