NAPOLCOM marks 54th founding anniversary

THE National Police Commission (NAPOLCOM) will commemorate its 54th founding anniversary by adopting virtual rites which will be participated in by the Commission’s Central and Regional Offices to mark the establishment of NAPOLCOM on September 8, 1966.

In observance of this year’s anniversary with the theme “NAPOLCOM@54: Working Together, Forging Unity amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic,” NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and Executive Officer Atty. Rogelio T. Casurao together with Commissioner Felizardo M. Serapio, Jr., Commissioner Job M. Mangente and Commissioner Zenonida F. Brosas remain steadfast in discharging the NAPOLCOM’s Constitutionally mandated function of overseeing the Philippine National Police (PNP) in these trying times.

“Amidst the age of digital transformation, the NAPOLCOM found a simple and prudent yet efficient way to honor the roots of the Commission. Through the use of emerging technologies, the health and safety of the employees and stakeholders are prioritized and protected. All precautionary measures will be observed in compliance with the national government’s health protocol,” Atty. Casurao said.

The commemoration program on September 14, 2020 will start with a thanksgiving mass which will be live streamed so that the regional offices can also join. A webinar via Zoom will follow wherein the NAPOLCOM Vice-Chairman and the Commissioners will give their respective messages. Acknowledgement of Loyalty Awardees and Retirees will also be held during the webinar.
“NAPOLCOM retirees and employees who have served the Commission for the past 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years will be acknowledged for their utmost dedication and unselfish commitment while serving the Commission,” Atty. Casurao said.

The Commission will conduct Zoom web media briefing in order to discuss efficient ways on how to further improve information methods and tackle the implemented innovations in public service brought about by changes in work arrangements, digital transactions/processes, and wellness.
NAPOLCOM Region 3 will also conduct a webinar on Mental Health Awareness to alleviate struggles and forge positivity in the fight against this global health crisis.
