Save a Life: The Valenzuela City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (VCDRRMO) hold a Citywide hands-only CPR training at the Alert Multi-Purpose building on February 14, 2023, in order to increase public awareness and knowledge of the importance of CPR in saving lives during disasters and other emergencies. One of the goals of CPR is to increase a person's chances of life, especially if it is provided quickly after a cardiac arrest. According to the most recent WHO statistics published in 2020, 129,955 people died from coronary heart disease in the Philippines, accounting for 19.27% of all fatalities. The Philippines ranks 32nd in the world with an age-adjusted death rate of 192.11 per 100,000 inhabitants.
