A simple Act of Valor

We recently observed Araw ng Kagitingan, which reminded us of the unbreakable Filipino spirit, extraordinary resilience, and courage demonstrated by our brave countrymen during WWII for the cause of freedom and democracy, as well as the importance of defending and protecting it.

After our liberation from the Japanese, the Communist Terrorist Group remains the primary threat to our freedom and democracy. While we honor and thank our countrymen for their sheer valor, they disrespect it and consider their armed struggle as a valorous thing. However, waging war to overthrow a democratic government is never an act of valor, because the true act of valor is defeating them.

This year’s observance theme “Kagitingan ng mga Beterano, Inspirasyon ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino” tells us that the bravery and patriotism of our heroes will serve as our inspiration to unite and defend our freedom and democracy, as well as our sovereignty, and to continue efforts aimed at ensuring peace, security and well-being. This is simply an act of valor that we can do.

So, if we are a grateful generation, we must also refuse to vote candidates running for government positions in the upcoming election who support the Communist Terrorist Group, because defending the freedom and democracy-our legacy from our forefathers is today’s measure of love of country. Let us be careful and discerning this time that we won’t allow them to infiltrate the government and cunningly destroy it. If we unite in the NLE 2022 and defeat these cabals out from the government, the CTG will eventually be defeated and probably another day of Araw ng Kagitingan will soon be celebrated.
