Operatives from the Manila Police District – Special Mayor’s Reaction Team (MPD-SMaRT) headed by PMaj. Edward Samonte nabbed a 60-year-old Barangay Ex-0 for allegedly raping a minor who is also a person with disability (PWD) the other day in Bagong Silang, Sucat, Muntinlupa City.
No bail was recommended by Judge Roberto Quiroz of the Manila RTC Branch 29 for suspect Orlando Madriaga, of No. 156 lot 3, Barangay Silang Muntinlupa city.
Samonte said SMaRT arrested Madriaga at 5:45 p.m. in the said area after his office received information regarding the suspect’s whereabout.
A surveillance was made and upon verification of the suspect’s presence, he was arrested.
Based on records, Samonte said the alleged rape took place on Agosto 11, 2012 on Arlegui Street, Brgy 387, Quiapo, Manila.
The suspect remains in the custody of SMaRT while awaiting a commitment order from the court.
