DENR Holds Ceremonial Bamboo Planting with DILG

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Central Luzon Regional Executive Director Paquito T. Moreno Jr. (third from left) takes part in the ceremonial bamboo planting held at the Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center on March 25, 2022 alongside the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between DENR Region 3 and the Department of the Interior and Local Government-Bureau of Fire Protection (DILG-BFP). The five-year partnership will adopt two 25-hectare reforestation sites in Bulacan located at Brgy. San Lorenzo in Norzagaray and Brgy. Kalawakan in Doña Remedios Trinidad for bamboo plantation, maintenance, and protection. DILG-BFP Chief Director Louie S. Puracan, DENR-Strategic Communication Initiatives Service (SCIS) Director Khalil Sergio Bayam, and Philippine Bamboo Industry Development Council Executive Director Rene Madarang (not in photo) were also present in the event.
