P6.8M shabu seized, 2 HVTS fall in Bulacan

TWO ‘high-value targets’ in Central Luzon were arrested by the Bulacan Police Provincial Office and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency after they sold a kilo of shabu worth P6.8 million to an undercover officer at the open parking lot of SM Marilao last Friday, local police director, Colonel Lawrence B. Cajipe announced yesterday.

In a report to Police Regional Office 3 director, Brigadier General Valeriano T. de Leon, the Bulacan PPO director identified the arrested suspects as Yasher Corot Mamowalas and Ansano Rakiin Domagay, both included in the watch list of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police.

Cajipe said that members of the PDEA Regional Offices 3 and 4-A and the PDEA Investigation and Intelligence Service, joined by officers from the Marilao Municipal Police Station arrested the drug trafficking duo during the sting at the open parking lot of SM Marilao located along the McArthur Highway in Bgy. Ibayo 4:20 p.m. Friday.

Recovered from the suspects were a plastic bag containing a kilo of the so-called ‘poor man’s cocaine’ valued at P6.8 million and the boodle money topped by several marked bills.

The suspects are now under the custody of the PDEA and facing non-bailable charges for sale and possession of prohibited drugs under Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, said PDEA chair, Director General Wilkins M. Villanueva.
