Philippine Embassy in Singapore warns vs. online platform illegally recruiting OFWs

THE Philippine Embassy in Singapore has warned the public against dealing with an online platform purportedly facilitating a supply of Filipino Household Service Workers (HSWs) in Singapore through advertising potential employers online.

The embassy said that that also being posted in the said website are profiles containing sensitive information of applicants which supposedly can be used for reference of employers in getting domestic workers.

The Philippine Embassy clarified that none of the said online platforms are connected with the embassy or any other attached agencies.

The embassy also reminded the public that the recruitment and deployment of Filipino HSWs is being done through the Singapore agency accredited by the Migrant Workers Office (MWO) – Singapore.
