Rita, Ken shoots first movie during pandemic

Rita Daniela and Ken Chan

RITA Daniela and Ken Chan are so lucky as they are now shooting their first movie together on location in Pagsanjan, Laguna, directed by Louie Ignacio who has a house in Pagsanjan. The title is “My First, Your Last, Luis Loves Luisa”, with screenplay written by Rish Lunasco and Acy Ramos. This is the first movie being shot during the pandemic.

Their co-stars are Richard Yap and Lotlot de Leon as their parents, supported by Ahwel Paz, Soliman Cruz, Vince Rillon, Kenneth Medrano, Rachel Jacob and John Gabriel. Rita and Ken’s love team hit it big in the afternoon soap, “My Special Tatay”, where they’re not really the ones paired with each other (Ken was supposed to be paired with Arra San Agustin) but it’s their tandem that clicked well with the viewers.

After that, they were paired in the prime time romcom, “One of the Baes”, which was also a hit. Now, Harlene Bautista gives their love team their big break on the silver screen in their very first movie produced by her Heaven’s Best Entertainment, the same company that made the memorable award-winning box office hit, “Rainbow’s Sunset”.

In “My First, Your Last”, Ken and Rita will play two young people who will experience the joys and pains of first love. Ken is Luis, a seminarian who’s convinced by his parents he’s destined for the priesthood and is now looking for a sign if he’d continue his vocation or not. Rita is Luisa, a bar performer looking for more meaning in her life.
Their worlds collide when fate leads them to an unexpected romance. Why Rita will be Ken’s first and why Ken will be Rita’s last will be answered when you watch the movie which hopefully will be shown in theaters after the pandemic.
