AIKO Melendez just finished her three-week lock in taping for GMA-7’s hit Afternoon Prime soap, “Prima Donnas”, in time for her to celebrate third anniversary as sweethearts with Zambales Vic Governor Jay Khonghun on October 28. Aiko revealed this in her Youtube vlog and she gave an incredibly sweet and cloying message to her boyfriend. She says:

“I want to thank you for encouraging me to do my best, for believing in me when I can’t even believe in myself. We have our ups and downs, we get annoyed with each other, but one thing I’m certain about is I wouldn’t want this with any other.

“I’m really sorry if we fight sometimes, but no matter what, I know we will get through all these. Happy Anniversary baby! I love you! Thank you for being the person that I can rely on. Thank you for the good morning texts that you send me. And thank you for letting me see the different sides of you, even the not so good ones.

“There is no one I can’t think of spending the rest of my life with but you. Happy 3rd year anniv Baby! We have a lifetime to share. Not just you and me but with our family and kids. And God being the center of our relationship! Mucho love, Aiko!”

And this is the reply of Aiko’s vice governor boyfriend:

“You turned my life into a journey of love and happiness. Every second I spend with you; I fall in love even more. Thank you for Everything. Happy Anniversary.”

They then had a romantic dinner together to cap their anniversary celebration. Meantime, Aiko wants to remind the loyal fans of “Prima Donnas”, which is now on recap, that fresh new episodes of their much loved show will start airing on November 9.

GMA goes back to normal slowly

SLOWLY, things are going back to normal at the Kapuso station with the resumption of taping of regular shows that were stopped by the corona lockdown. “Descendants of the Sun” with Dingdong Dantes, Jennylyn Mercado and Rocco Nacino returned on primetime last Monday night replacing “I Can See You”, with new episodes to start airing on November 5.

The next drama series of GMA-7 to return on the air with fresh new episodes this new month of November is the hit Afternoon Prime soap, “Prima Donnas”, with Jillian Ward, Althea Ablan, Katrina Halili, Wendell Ramos, Aiko Melendez and Chanda Romero.

Now currently back to taping new episodes is the primetime romantic comedy, “Anak ni Waray vs. Anak ni Biday” starring Barbie Forteza, Kate Valdez and Migo Adecer. In the afternoon slot, the second soap to resume taping is “Bilangin ang Bituin sa Langit” which is currently on a lock in taping in San Mateo, Rizal with Nora Aunor, Mylene Dizon, Kyline Alcantara, Zoren Legaspi and Yasser Marta.

After this, it will be the turn of the last afternoon drama series to resume taping, “Magkaagaw”, starring Sunshine Dizon, Sheryl Cruz, Jeric Gonzales and Klea Pineda. And on primetime, the last show to tape new episodes will be “Love of My Life” with Rhian Ramos, Carla Abellana, Mikael Daez and Coney Reyes. The script had to be rewritten because the original story had two child actors in the cast playing the sons of Rhian and Carla, and kiddie stars are no longer allowed to tape now, just like Sofia Pablo in “Prima Donnas”.

Aside from these shows, they will also start taping new drama series. The first of which is “First Yaya” starring Gabby Concepcion, Pancho Magno and Sanya Lopez in the title role. So it’s really safe to say that things are gong back to normal on GMA Network. Even their weekly shows are now doing nothing but new episodes for shows like “Magpakailanman”, “Wish Ko Lang”, “Pepito Manaloto”, “Dear Uge”.
