Baguio City records 41 new COVID cases, 16 recoveries

BAGUIO City on Friday recorded 41 new COVID-19 cases, 16 recoveries, and two deaths.

The latest fatalities were a 77-year old man who died Oct. 16 after three days of confinement and an 80-year old male who was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital Oct 16. and was swabbed post mortem. Both had pre-existing health problems.

Of the 41 new cases, 34 were contact traced, four symptomatic and three expanded tested.

Health officials said that as of 6 p.m. on Friday, a total of 74 new confirmed cases were recorded in Cordillera Region, five in Abra, 41 in Baguio City, 24 in Benguet, three in Kalinga, one in Mountain Province.

DOH-CAR said Cordillera region now has a total of 2,516 confirmed cases with 713 active cases, 1,775 recoveries, and 28 recorded deaths.
