3 motorbike drivers die in head-on collisions

SANTIAGO, Ilocos Sur- Three motorbike drivers were killed on New Year’s dag in what appeared to be head-on collisions in this town.

Police reports said that at around 1 a.m. on January 1, 2021, a Honda TMX motorcycle with no plate number driven by Charles John Flordeliza, 45, of Bgy. San Roque, Santiago, and a Honda Beat 125 MC with no plate number driven by Keith Bongolan Borja, 17, single, together with his back rider identified as Mark Jayson Bongolan 16, both residents of Bgy. Gabao, Santiago were reportedly involved in a road mishap.

Initial police investigation showed the Honda Beat motorcycle was heading south when the driver lost control of the handle bar and swerved to the opposite lane. As a result, he collided head-on with the northbound TMX motorcycle

Both drivers including the back rider of the Honda Beat 125 MC sustained injuries and were rushed to Candon General Hospital, Tablac Candon City.

The two drivers were declared dead on arrival at the hospital.

In Caburao, a Honda TMX 125 with no plate number driven by Wendel Roldan, of Brgy. Langlangca First Candon City, and a Rusi MC (3698ZJ) driven by Dennis Antonio, of Bgy. Caburao, Santiago, also collided head-on.

Police disclosed that the Honda TMX was headed west when the driver lost control and swerved east, colliding with the RUSI motorcycle.

The drivers were rushed to theCandon General Hospital, Tablac Candon City Ilocos Sur where the driver of the Honda TMX 125 was declared dead on arrival.
