Carlos adds firepower to Creamline

TOTS Carlos was formally introduced by Creamline Thursday night, giving the reigning PVL Open Conference champions additional offensive firepower.

The 22-year-old Carlos, a one-time Best Opposite Spiker, teams up with Alyssa Valdez, Jema Galanza and Michele Gumabao as the Cool Smashers guns for a third consecutive title.

The PVL is plotting to open the season at the INSPIRE Sports Academy in Calamba, Laguna.

Earlier, Creamline also signed Jeanette Panaga to bolster its middle blocker position to compliment Risa Sato, Ced Domingo and Pau Soriano.

The Cool Smashers completed a 20-match sweep of the Open Conference two years ago before the pandemic wiped out the PVL 2020 season.

With the scrapping of UAAP women’s volleyball tournament last December and with the uncertainty over the staging of next season, several top-tier players have opted to turn pro.

Carlos’ University of the Philippines teammate Isa Molde has signed with PLDT last week. Carlos and Molde last suited up for Motolite in 2019.
