Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Acting Secretary Jim O. Sampulna expresses gratitude to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for the strengthened land distribution program of his administration which led to the turnover of 41 original certificates of title (OCT) to member-beneficiaries of Samahang Masigasig ng Sitio Tapayan Homeowners Association or SAMATHOA on March 4. The distribution of the 2.01-hectare land located in Lupang Arenda, Bgy. Sta. Ana, Taytay, Rizal took almost 30 years to be realized. Present in the awarding ceremony were representatives from the Office of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development, the Philippine Commission on Urban Poor, officials from DENR Region 4A-CALABARZON led by Executive Director Nilo Tamoria, and the local government of Taytay, Rizal.
