NAIA GM Chiong leads in welcoming over 100 distressed OFWs

A TOTAL of 166 distressed Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from Kuwait and Dubai were welcomed upon arrival by airport authoriries led by Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) general manager Cesar Chiong himself.

The said OFWs arrived in batches one after another, at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport NAIA terminal 1 and were met by Chiong.

First to arrive was flight PR-659 with 100 OFWs from Kuwait and Dubai, followed by flight GF-154 with 27 distressed OFWs from Kuwait and then Kuwait airways flight KU-417 with 39 OFWs on board.

The said OFWs were personally welcomed by Chiong and representatives from the Overseas Workers’ Welfare Administration upon their arrival at the NAIA Terminal 1.

They were asaisted in the processing of their documents at the immigration as GM Chiong also helped hand over ‘pasalubong’ gifts to them apart from financial aid.
