1,554 families evacuate in Cavite due to Ulysses

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — Around 1,554 families or 5,353 individuals left their houses temporarily and stayed in the shelter provided by the local government Wednesday before Typhoon Ulysses battered the country.

A total of 140 families (499 individuals) from San Rafael III, Noveleta are now in six classrooms of San Rafael Elementary School in Sitio T.I.P. The LGU has provided beddings and meals in coordination with the Municipal Social Welfare and Development.

A total of 53 families (191 individuals) from Rosario; 74 families (226 individuals) from Tanza; 130 families (373 individuals) from Ternate; 713 families (2,589 individuals) from Cavite City; and 23 families (71 persons) are in evacuation center.

A total of 40 families (161 individuals) have evacuated to relatives in the upland town of Amadeo.

Thirty-free families (113 individuals) from Mendez Nuñez town and 68 families (239 persons) are in evacuation centers while 12 families (37 persons) have evacuated to relatives in Tagaytay City.

Two families from Bailen (GEA); 31 families (107 pax) from Alfonso town; and 38 families (111 persons) evacuated in Dasmariñas City.

Cavite Gov. Jonvic Remulla asked the residents to continue following safety protocols to prevent the spread of the coronavirus disease.
