A 40-YEAR-OLD escapee from the Laguna Provincial Jail and ranked as the number 1 Most Wanted Person in Sta Cruz, Laguna was arrested in Bgy. Masapang, Victoria, Laguna, Saturday morning.
Laguna Provincial Director PCol.Serafin Petalio II reported to CALABARZON Regional Director PBGen. Vicente Danao Jr. that the escapee identified as Edwin Flores was nabbed within the vicinity of Bgy. Masapang at around 1:30 a.m.
Records showed that Flores had been convicted for qualified rape, sexual assault and violation of RA 7610.
Flores was arrested in a joint manhunt operation of the Sta Cruz police and Provincial Highway Patrol team (PHPT) last June 23, 2020. He escaped from the Laguna Provincial Jail Compound at around 2 a.m. on September 4, 2020.
He has been turned over to the Laguna Provincial Jail yesterday.
