Pasay firms urged to report unauthorized inspections

PASAY City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano has strongly advised business establishments to report individuals who conduct unauthorized inspections.

The Pasay chief executive issued the statement after receiving complaints from businessmen that certain people, purportedly representing the city government, have been going around the city demanding for documents and insisting that they inspect establishments.

It has come to my attention that certain people have been representing city hall to check on their commercial or business areas. I have not authorized any such inspections unless they carry a mission order personally signed by me.” Mayor Emi said.

According to Mayor Emi, she had issued an Executive Order last January 6, 2020, creating the Inspection and Compliance Report (ICR) Team to specifically conduct, assess, and inspect establishments in Pasay.

It is composed of the city mayor’s representative, city mayor, business permits and licensing office, city treasurer, city assessor, city legal officer, city engineer, city health office, the city environment and natural resources officer, city disaster risk reduction and management office, and the Bureau of Fire Protection.

The team, according to Mayor Emi, will jointly inspect the business establishments and no individual inspection is allowed.
