FOUR riding-in-tandem suspects pumped bullets into two purok leaders in Quezon City, instantly killing one of them on Wednesday night.
Killed on the spot was Nicanor Perez, 52, a resident of Bgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City.
Another purok leader identified as George Dagopioso, 56, also of Bgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City is now in stable condition in a hospital in Quezon City.
A report from the Crime Investigation Section of the QCPD showed the two victims were chatting along Kalayaan B corner Kaibigan St., Bgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City at about 9:30 p.m., February 3, 2021 when the suspects onboard two motorcycles suddenly arrived.
The suspects alighted from the motorcycle, approached the victims and shot them at close range.
The suspects then fled towards IBP Road, Bgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City bringing with them the fatal weapon used.
A concerned citizen reported the incident to the Barangay Batasan Hills.
The SOCO team recovered 22 fired cartridge cases at the crime scene.
