Rape suspect nabbed after 10 years in hiding

AFTER 10 months in hiding, a suspected rapist tagged by police as the Top 6 Most Wanted Person in Northern Police District (NPD) landed behind bars following his arrest Monday afternoonin Quezon City.

National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) Regional Director P/MGen. Debold Sinas commended the operatives of Intelligence Operation Section (IOS) and NPD District Intelligence Division (DID) for the successful apprehension of Enrico Panlilio, 45, construction worker after he returned to his house on Block 5, Lot 11, Pook Pag-asa, Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

NPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Ronaldo Ylagan said elements of the DID and IOS conducted discreet monitoring and surveillance operations near Panlilio’s residence after receiving a tip from their informant that the accused was frequently seen visiting his family.

At around 5 p.m. on Monday, operatives of IOS and NPD-DID, in proper coordination with the Quezon City Police District (QCPD), served the warrant of arrest issued by Caloocan Regional Trial (RTC) Family Court Judge Raymundo G. Vallega of Branch 130 on January 31, 2020 against Panlilio for the crime of rape docketed under Criminal Case Number C-111933 with no bail recommended.

The accused was subjected to medical examination at the Quezon City General Hospital before he was brought to the office of NPD-DID for proper documentation prior to the return of warrant to the court of origin.

I commend the successful manhunt operation that led to the arrest of Northern Police District’s Top 6 Most Wanted Person. The efforts of our men in this venture indicates our sincerity to make all law offenders face the charges filed against them in court,” Sinas said.
