CANDELARIA, QUEZON — Police operatives on Saturday arrested a Manila-based fliptop rapper during a drug bust in a resort in Brgy. Masin Sur here.
Town police commander Lt. Col. Arnulfo Selencio identified the arrested suspect as Jason Yap Rodriguez, 37, fliptop rapper, and resident of 2022, G. Perfecto Extension, Gagalangin, Tondo, Manila.
Selencio, in his report to Quezon police director Col. Audie Madrideo, said Rodriguez was caught red-handed with two plastic sachets containing shabu and eight marked P1,000 bills.
The suspect did not resist when collared by undercover policemen who pretended to be drug buyers.
The anti- drug operation was carried out in the presence of barangay chairman Reynaldo Cantos and Councilman Lamberto Villano and a media representative.
All the pieces of evidence were brought to the Quezon Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (QPCLO) for examination.
