Kagawad hurt as car catches fire

A BARANGAY kagawad in Manila suffered minor wounds when the car he was driving suddenly caught fire while he was driving it along Buendia near Roxas Boulevard in Pasay City.

Manila Barangay Kagawad Gary Limpin reportedly suffered wounds in the head and feet after the incident that took place at past 7 a.m.

The fire was said to have lasted for about 30 minutes and totally destroyed the car, whose make is still unknown.

Investigation showed that Limpin was cruising along Roxas Boulevard going to Manila when the steering wheel locked as he was negotiating a flyover.

Limpin lost control of the vehicle until it hit a plant box at the center island.

The car, said to be owned by his brother-in-law, then caught fire and Limpin quickly got out of it.
