Tricycle driver’s slay caught on CCTV cam

A 58-YEAR-OLD tricycle driver was shot and killed by a bicycle riding gunman Sunday evening in Pasay City.

The killing of Ricardo Sta Ana, resident of 2321 Tramo St., occurred at around 6 p.m. and was caught on a close circuit television (CCTV) camera installed in Bgy. 84.

Sta Ana was driving a tricycle with a male passenger on board at around 6 p.m. and traversing along P. Sanchez St. when the suspect, riding on a bicycle and travelling on the opposite direction, suddenly stopped, pulled a caliber .45 from his waist and shot the victim in the body.

When the victim slumped on his driven tricycle, the gunman walked towards him and fired successive shots in his head and body while the unidentified passenger alighted and fled the scene.

After the killing, the suspect was seen on CCTV camera riding his bicycle again and fled escaping.

Police investigators are looking into possibility that personal grudge was the motive behind the killing.
