Zambales Topped the 2022 Regional Skills Competition

Zambales Regional Skills Competition

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Region 3 has concluded the four-day 2022 Regional Skills Competition (RSC), proclaiming the winners from different skills areas on September 3, 2022, at the Regional Training Center Central Luzon gymnasium in Guiguinto, Bulacan.

Participants from the province of Zambales emerged victorious as TVET institutions including President Ramon Magsaysay State University, Comteq Computer and Business College, Provincial Training Center lba, and Power Skills Technical Institute of Zambales, Inc. brought home a total of nine gold medals, one silver, and one bronze. Bulacan trails next with six gold, two silver, and four bronze medals. Meanwhile, Tarlac bagged seven gold, two silver, and one medallion for excellence. Pampanga follows with ten medals – five gold and five silver. Bataan with two gold, five silver, one bronze, and two medallions for excellence; Nueva Ecija won one gold, two bronze, and one medallion for excellence; and Aurora Province took home one gold and one silver medal.

The RSC ran from August 30 to September 2 and was participated by almost sixty competitors from the different provinces in Region III.

The participants competed in over twenty-eight (28) different skill areas.

The gold medal winners of the competition will undergo further training to prepare them as regional representatives/competitors in the upcoming Philippine National Skills Competition (PNSC) to be held on November 14 to 18, 2022.

All the winners also received cash prizes aside from medals and certificates.
