A SEVEN-YEAR-OLD boy died after he was allegedly choked and repeatedly punched in the head and body by his father for allegedly refusing to eat dinner Saturday night in Taguig City.

The victim , of Bgy. North Daang Hari, Taguig was rushed by his parents to the Taguig Pateros District Hospital before dawn Sunday after his mother noticed that he was no longer breathing.

The boy had reportedly suffered severe beating from his father.

A report received by Taguig police chief P/Col. Celso Rodriguez showed that at around 9 p.m. on Saturday, victim’s father, Arnold Perdiguez, tried to feed his son but the victim refused.

This prompted the suspect to get irked. He allegedly choked the boy and punched him repeatedly in the head and body.

At around 4:34 a.m. Sunday, the victim’s mother Luz Montalez, 25, live-in partner of the suspect, noticed that her son was no longer breathing prompting her to rush the boy to the nearest hospital where he was declared dead by attending physician Dr. Mary Ann Perez at around 4:42 a.m.

Montales sought the assistance of Pat Jensen Jones Ramos and PCpl Jordan Dumayag of the Tanyag Daang-Hari Police Sub-Station 8 that resulted to the arrest of the suspect.

Perdiguez told police investigators PSSg Morced Lagensay and PCpl Lawrence Mondala of Taguig police homicide section that he only wanted to teach his son a lesson.
