Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) officials and personnel have never and will never solicit goods and/or money from any private person or entity.

Thus, CAAP reiterated its public advisory for the general public and all its stakeholders, in light of reports received by the CAAP management regarding unscrupulous individuals using the name of CAAP Director General Captain Manuel Antonio Tamayo to solicit money.

According to CAAP spokesman Eric Apolonio, the said individuals even give out false bank information in soliciting for money.

“The Authority does not tolerate these acts and urges the public to report to our office any activities relating to the above so that appropriate criminal charges may be filed against them. We further urge the public to remain vigilant,” said Apolonio.

He added: “Finally, we inform the public that all communications from our office and personnel shall only be done through official channels.”
