DENR Distributes Gardening Materials in Time-X for the Youth

Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Stakeholders Management and Conflict Resolution Division (SMCRD) Chief Julie Ibuan (extreme right) joins DENR Region 3 Assistant Regional Director Laudemir Salac (2nd from right) for the turn over of gardening tools and seeds to the Aeta Youth representatives of TimE-X or Training, Immersion and Ecotour activities for youth leaders held at Hacienda Gracia Hotel in Lubao, Pampanga on June 27-29, 2022. Participants in the event were national DENR Youth Desk Officers, National Youth Commission representatives from Bataan, Nueva Ecija and Tarlac, and Aeta Youth leaders from Bgy. Camias, Porac, Pampanga. TimE-X was designed as an action against climate change and to build stronger responses among the Indigenous Peoples (IP) youth through adaptation and mitigation processes. The gardening materials were received by Aeta Youth leader Lucas Abuque, IP Political Council leader Benny Capuno, and IP Mandatory representative Edwin Abuque (3rd, 4th and 6th from right, respectively). The distribution of tools and seeds is part of the livelihood component of the three-day event organized by the SMCRD.
