THE DOH-CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) has reiterated its warning against unscrupulous individuals or groups using the on-going COVID-19 pandemic to illegally benefit personally by using the name of Regional Director Eduardo C. Janairo or posing as DOH regional office employees to extort money.
Janairo said despite his previous, they still continue to receive reports from suppliers, contractors and other concerned offices that there are individuals claiming to be employees of the region and using his name soliciting funds to finance activities and events allegedly for his upcoming retirement and for sponsoring programs/projects of the regional office.
“My office continuous to received reports of this scam being perpetrated by some individuals. Hindi pa rin po sila tumitigil at patuloy pa rin sa kanilang kabulastugan. Sa sinumang makaengkuwentro ng ganitong gawain ay huwag po kayong maniniwala, huwag magtitiwala at importante sa lahat huwag na huwag po kayong magbibigay ng kahit anumang pera o tulong. Ipagbigay alam agad sa aming tanggapan,” the DOH official said.
“I NEVER ORDERED ANY SOLICITATION OF WHATSOEVER, NOR WILL I ALLOW SUCH IMPRUDENT ACT OF IMPROPRIETY for any individual or entity, within and outside the office on my behalf,” he strongly added.
