A 24-YEAR-OLD man was killed by two motorcycle-riding gunmen who shot him in the back while he was walking along Tayuman Street in Sta. Cruz, Manila Sunday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Sandalz Cano, of 2125- B Molave St., Bgy. 221, Zone 21 in Tondo.
Meanwhile, the suspects who were both armed with cal. 9 MM pistols sped away on board a motorcycle after the shooting.
Det. Jonathan Bautista, of the Manila Police District- Homicide Section, said the incident took place at 12:20 p.m. near the corner of Tayuman Street and Rizal Avenue in Sta. Cruz.
Cano reportedly looked worried while walking when the suspects appeared and shot him from behind. Three spent shells were recovered from the scene.
An investigation is underway to establish the identities of the suspects and the motive behind the killing.
