Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Secretary Rex Gatchalian presents the different initiatives and plans of the DSWD under his leadership to address urgent social welfare issues during the 51st Assembly of the Association of Foundations held today (May 26) at Novotel, Quezon City.
Secretary Gatchalian shared the innovations and programs of the DSWD on mitigating hunger, disaster preparedness, digital transformation, retooling of social service workforce and programs, and other social protection services of the Department for the poor and vulnerable sectors and encouraged the private sector to engage with the department to come up with coordinated social service and social protection programs for those who need assistance most in the country.
