A LANE for Class 1 vehicles at the Paranaque Toll Plaza southbound was converted into a “Pass Through” lane during weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. that started Thursday, September 17, as part of continuing efforts to deliver the best customer service.
At the start of the implementation, cash-paying motorists of Class 1 vehicles using the “Pass Through” lane heading towards Kawit City, Cavite will pay a total of P89 at the Kawit Toll Plaza.
“Ever since Metro Manila and nearby areas were opened for economic activity, there has been a surge in the number of vehicles plying the Cavitex, this scheme is intended to ease the evening traffic, before the Paranaque toll Plaza,” said Roberto Bontia, President and General Manager of Cavitex concessionaire, Cavitex Infrastructure Corporation (CIC).
“In addition to this scheme, we have also opened the Pacific Drive entry to Cavitex. This serves as an alternate route wherein vehicles from Roxas Boulevard may enter the D. Macapagal Boulevard onto Pacific Drive to enter the Cavitex,” he added.
CIC and its joint venture partner, the Philippine Reclamation Authority (PRA) strongly urges motorists to avail of the Easytrip RFID (radio frequency identification) before the November 2, 2020 full implementation of the Department of Transportation’s Order No. 2020-012 that requires cashless and contactless transactions of motorists using the tollways to curb the spread of the COVID-19 virus as well as ease the passage of vehicles.
Aside from Cavitex, the Easytrip RFID is being used on the Cavitex- C5 Link and other toll roads operated by the Metro Pacific Tollways Group, such as the Cavite-Laguna Expressway (Calax), the North Luzon Expressway (Nlex) and the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (Sctex).
