SAN JOSE CITY – The city government here headed by City Mayor Mario “Kokoy” Salvador has officially launched its “City of San Jose – Contact-Tracing Team” Facebook page to serve as a vital link among local residents in the swift dissemination of information as well as strengthen contact-tracing capabilities as part of efforts to beat COVID-19 amid Nueva Ecija’s modified general community quarantine status.

Salvador said the social media page of the LGU’s contact-tracing team was launched on Tuesday, Sept. 8.

A day after its official launch, Salvador said they posted on their web page an important reminder to all San Josenios to immediately contact the assigned barangay health emergency workers in their area in case they experience flu-like symptoms.

Also posted on the web page for easy and swift access were the names and contact numbers of the LGU’s COVID-19 contact persons such as doctors, midwives, nurses from the city health office and community health workers assigned in each barangay, added the mayor.

The LGU-web page also reported that the city has two new confirmed COVID-19 cases, tagged as Patients #24 and #25.

Patient #24 is a 22-year-old male bank employee, of Zone 10, Sitio Tanibong, Bgy. Abar 1st while Patient #25 is 35, a self-employed man, of Zone 3, Bgy. Malasin.

The city inter-agency task force has recorded a total of 25 confirmed COVID-19 cases, two new cases, 10 active cases, 14 recovered, and one death.
