A 42-YEAR-OLD driver was arrested by the Laguna Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) following the confiscation of 30 grams of shabu during an anti-illegal drug operation Monday in Biñan City, Laguna.
Laguna Provincial Director Pol. Serafin Petalio II, in a report to Calabarzon Regional Director PBGen. Felipe Natividad, identified the arrested suspect as Welix Diongco, of 257 Cataran St., Velasco Subd, Bgy. Tagapo, Biñan City, Laguna.
A report showed the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) 1st District under the supervision of PIU chief PLTCol. Arvin Avelino conducted a buy bust at 10:30 p.m. in Bgy. Tagapo that led to the arrest of the suspect.
The suspect sold illegal drugs to a police officer who acted as poseur buyer in exchange fir P1,000 buy-bust money.
Recovered were five plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing more or less 30 grams with an estimated DDB value amounting to P 204,000 a blue pouch, a genuine P1,000 and the buy bust money.
The arrested suspect will be presented before the Office of City Prosecutor of Biñan City, Laguna for Inquest Proceeding for violation of Art. II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
