A CONSTRUCTION worker died after being stabbed in the armpit by a fellow he was drinking with at their barracks in Quezon City on Sunday night.
The victim, Dominador Andales, 38, was declared dead upon arrival at the Quezon City General Hospital.
His alleged attacker, identified as Alex Bayani, 42, immediately surrendered to the police.
A report from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD-CIDU) showed the incident happened at around 8 p.m. inside 5R’s Construction Corporation located on12 Canceco corner Tolentino Streets, Bgy. Del monte, Quezon City.
Police said the victim and the suspect were laborers at the said construction site.
It appears that prior to the incident, the victim and the suspect were having a drinking session with five other laborers inside their barracks.
A security guard at 5R’s Construction Corporation told the police that he was manning his post when he noticed the victim holding his left armpit while hurriedly going to their barracks.
Moments later, the suspect approached the said security guard and informed that he stabbed the victim and that he was surrendering.
Barangay officials responded to the scene and brought the victim to the hospital.
