Man killed in front of wife

A MAN was shot to death in front of his horrified live-in partner in Malabon City.

Valentino Espinoza, 34, and his live-in partner Maricel Dela Paz were sleeping inside their shanty along P. Concepsion St. Tugatog Cemetery when four men destroyed their wooden front door and barged inside at around 12:10 am. Sunday

One of the suspects pulled out an unknown type of handgun and shot the victim repeatedly in the head and body in front of his horrified live-in partner.

Espinoza died on the spot.

After the killing, the suspects immediately escaped towards Dr. Lascano Street, Bgy. Tugatog, leaving Dela Paz unharmed. Police recovered from the crime scene eight empty shells and two bullets fired from an unknown type of handgun.

Malabon police homicide investigator P/MSgt. Julius Mabasa said relatives of Espinoza revealed the victim had received death threats from unknown suspects who accused him of his alleged involvement in a murder case which happened recently in Bgy. Tugatog.

Meanwhile, one Sonny Boy Pardillo, 39, of Phase 2, Paradise Village, Bgy. Tonsuya, was walking on his way home along Paradise Street from P. Aquino Street at around 12:15 a.m. when two unidentified suspects followed him.

Upon reaching the dimly lit portion of the road, the suspects shot the victim repeatedly in the head and body, killing him instantly. The suspects fled towards the inner portion of Paradise Village.

Mabasa said 13 empty shells, five fired bullets and a deformed fire bullet were recovered from the crime scene.
