State-of-the art passenger vehicles deployed in Bagac-Balanga route

BAGAC, Bataan — Ten brand new units state-of-the art airconditioned passenger vehicles equipped with wi-fi and beep were deployed along the Bagac-Balanga city route.

The 10 passenger vehicles were turned over Monday morning to members of the Bagac Modernized Transport Services, Inc (BMTSI) led by its president Albert Tuvera in a simple ceremony inside the Carworld Fuso, Pampanga.

The turnover ceremony was withnessed by top officials of Development Bank of the Phil. who financed the project and Carworld personnel.

It is the first time that modern vehicles will be plying the route in Central Luzon.

Commuters in the small town of Bagac are the first one to benefit this modern transport service,” Tuvera said. “Masaya kami dahil kami ang unang nagkaroon ng ganitong modernong pampasaherong sasakyan na maginhawa, maski maliit lamang aming bayan.

A former head of the province’s Bid and Award Committee at the Provincial Engineering Office, Tuvera said five more units will be deployed since the DBP supports the vehicle modernization program of the government, particularly the BMTSI.

Tuvera bared DBP granted a P40M loan to MBTSI, after conducting its own feasibility studies on the project which they (bank officials) believe is feasible and can make money, aside from giving comfort to the riding public.

We are thankful to the DBP for its successfull study on the project that resulted to their granting of our loan; they know this is a potential project and has a bright prospect business,” said Tuvera in apparent reaction to other transport operators who doubted the feasibility of the project.

Mismong taga DBP ang nag aral nito at nakita nilang kikita ito at magkakaroon pa ng comfort ang mga pasahero,” said Tuvera.

Aside from being equipped with wi-fi, the vehicles have their own beep where the passengers can just affix their tumb (push botton) when boarding and alighting, with no more cash involved, pointed out Tuvera.

Passengers can avail of beep card in ther common terminal which is in Friendship tower here.

Those who have no beep cards can also pay cash.

The vehicle is a 23-seater but can accommodate 29, including standing passengers if needed as this was approved by the Land Transportation Franchising Regulatory board, said Tuvera.

Nagamit ko yung experience ko bilang dating BAC head sa Kapitolyo sa pag aayos at pagpa follow up ng mga dokumento sa LTFRB,” added Tuvera who thanked Mayor del Ramil Rosario for his support to the project.
