2 wiper boys nabbed for not wearing face masks

TWO wiper boys were arrested by the Manila Police District-District Tactical Motorized Unit for loitering without the mandatory face masks.

The two were nabbed at around 7 p.m the other night while on standby on a sidewalk and waiting for motorists to stop near the corner of President Osmeña Highway and Quirino Avenue in Sta. Ana, Manila.

The MPD-Station 6 identified the two as Jayson Castro, 18 and Patrick Capoquian, 20, both of Paco, Manila.

They are among the many who prey on motorists by wiping their windshields without asking if the drivers are okay with it and then forcing them to give money in exchange for the unsolicited service.

They were accosted by the police and apprised of their violation, since wearing of face masks in the city is mandatory and a violation of a city ordinance.

The two were charged with violation of Revised Ordinance 8267 before the Manila Prosecutors Office.
