Wanted murder suspect nabbed by QCPD-DSOU

The Quezon City Police District – District Special Operation Unit (QCPD-DSOU) announced the arrest of a 35-year-old suspect tagged as among the ‘Top Ten Most Wanted Person (TTMWP)’ at the Regional Level of PNP Region 6.

QCPD-DSOU chief Lt. Col. Rolando Lorenzo, Jr. identified the suspect as Mark Lowell Pabalinas Atienza, of No. 310 Dela Paz St., Brgy. Sto Niño, Marikina City.

Lorenzo said Atienza’s arrest stemmed from a warrant of arrest dated July 12, 2021 issued by Presiding Judge Honorable Phoebe A Gargantiel-Balbin of Bacolod City RTC Branch 45.

Investigation disclosed that the accused went into hiding after killing his uncle in Bacolod City sometime in September 2020 hence, a warrant of arrest was issued by the said court against him on July 12, 2021 for the crime of murder (RPC Art 248) docketed as criminal case no. 21-53911 with no bail recommended.

Lorenzo said the whereabouts of the suspect was ascertained through several intel-driven and series of surveillance operations.

Once his location was confirmed, the suspect was nabbed by operatives led by Lorenzo, who served the warrant on him.
