Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna welcomes the support of national government officials to her administration.
Lacuna said this, as she joined Senator Imee Marcos in giving financial assistance to chosen residents at the Universidad de Manila the other day.
Joining the mayor in welcoming the senator are UDM President Felma Tria and her spokesperson, Atty. Princess Abante, among others.
Abante said the support shown by Sen. Marcos is a clear indication of her trust and belief in the Lacuna administration.
While the city government never fails to address all the needs of its residents specially fire victims, Abante said any extra help coming from outside sources such as national officials will always be welcome in Manila.
The Manila local government provides P10,000 financial aid to each family whose houses are razed by fire, said Abante.
This is apart from the social amelioration package that provides monthly cash aid to senior citizens, solo parents, persons with disabilities and to college and Grade 12 students, she added.
