Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna encouraged business owners in Manila to already begin renewing their business permits in order to avoid the usual last-minute rush.

Lacuna also urged those operating businesses in Manila to make use of the city government’s online payment system so they can save on precious time, effort and money which they will have to spend if they choose to settle their dues in person.

Apart from the online system, Lacuna said payments can also be made at the Manila City Hall or in the one-stop shop kiosks set up at the SM Manila.

The lady mayor was briefed by Electronic Data Processing Services (EDP) Chief Fortune Palileo himself during the set-up of the upcoming business renewal at the said mall.

According to EDP chief Palileo, other Go Manila payment machines will also be available at Robinsons Manila, SM San Lazaro, and Lucky Chinatown to accommodate cash payments of business permits and taxes, adding that payment of other Go Manila services such as health card payments may also be made on the machines available on the four malls in Manila.

Palileo also said that online payment and renewal of business permit is still available via Go Manila app at www.cityofmanila.ph.

Lacuna directed Bureau of Permits chief Levi Facundo to issue a reminder to the business owners in the city about the renewal systems available.

Facundo said business permit renewals are already fully automated from application up to payment and that getting a statement of account up to the receipt to permit are already fully electronic.

“All ancillary Permits like barangay clearance and FSIC are already included, so there is no need to make a trip to these offices. Wala na rin pong delivery ng permits. What they see in their app in digital form can be printed and posted in their respective establishments,” he added.

For early payments, Facundo said a ten percent discount will be given as per orders from Lacuna, for payments made until January 20, 2023.
