THE Manila Police District- Station 3 arrested three drug pushers in a buy-bust operation in Sta. Cruz, Manila the other night.
Nabbed were John Freley Macaraig, 25, member of Sputnik Gang and residing at Bldg. 4, Unit 319 Permanent Housing, Balut, Tondo; Samuel Repato, 48, of Arlegui Street in Quiapo and Bernard Sarbida, 39, of 1739 C.M Recto Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
P/ Lt. Col. John Guiagui, Station Commander of MPD-Station 3, said the operation was conducted at around 8 p.m. at the corner of Claro M. Recto Avenue and Quezon Boulevard in Sta. Cruz.
The arrest was made after a cop posing as a buyer was able to buy P500 worth of shabu.
Guiagui said police recovered from the suspects 17 sachets of shabu worth P170,000 and a .45 cal. gun which was in the possession of Macaraig.
The three had been charged accordingly before the Manila Prosecutors’ Office.
Macaraig was additionally chardged with illegal possession of firearms and ammunition since the gun found on him was loaded with five bullets.
