‘Salvage victim’ found in QC

AN unidentified man believed to be a victim of “salvage” or summary execution v was found Friday morning in Quezon City.

A report from the Quezon City Police District-Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit said the victim, was found at around 4 a.m. in front of a house on 18C Catbalogan corner Digos Streets, Luzviminda Village, Brgy. Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

The man’s wounded head was wrapped with masking tape, while his hands were also tied with masking tape behind his back.

Police described the victim as between 40 and45 years old, 5’1” in height. He was clad in a black jacket, black Tribal shirt and black shorts.

A witness told the police that he was sleeping inside his house when he heard successive gunshots from outside.

The witness checked and saw the bloodied and lifeless body of the victim slumped on the ground.

The witness reported the incident to barangay officials.

A cursory examination conducted on the cadaver of victim showed that he sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of the body and head.
