FOUR armed drug dealers early yesterday morning were killed in separate firefights with undercover policemen in Talisay City, Cebu.
Seized during the operation was over P8 million worth of shabu.
Police Regional Office 7 director Chief Supt. Debold Sinas identified the slain suspects as Rodel Nacario, Kevin Baguio, Rodrigo Alvarez and Victor Noel Alvarez.
Nacario, 29; and Baguio, 30, exchanged fire with plainclothes officers at Hawod Compound in Bgy. Bulacao, Talisay City at 3:55 a.m. yesterday after sensing they were dealing with cops. Officers returned fire killing the two on the spot.
Members of the Talisay City Police Station headed by Supt. Marlu Conag conducted an entrapment amid reports that Nacario was one of the biggest drug dealers in his neighborhood apart from being a suspected hired gun.
The suspects apparently panicked after realizing they were dealing with a cop and offered an armed resistance, which led to their killing.
Recovered from the slain suspects were one loaded cal..38 revolver and a cal. .357 pistol, 60 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing suspected shabu and the marked money paid to them by a poseur.
