ALMOST 100 persons, including minors, were rounded up by authorities as part of their anti-criminality campaign Thursday night in Caloocan City.
Caloocan police chief Senior Supt. Jemar Modequillo said at least 59 male individuals and 40 minors, including a nine-year-old girl, were brought to Caloocan police headquarters for verification.
The operation tagged “Oplan RODY” or Rid the Streets of Drunkard and Youths started past 10 p.m. in Bgy. 160 Libis, Baesa, where Kian delos Santos were reportedly abducted and killed by policemen.
Modequillo said the minors were held for violation of the 10 p.m. curfew hour while the male individuals violated the city ordinance for drinking in public and for going out shirtless in the streets.
The minors, including the girl, who allegedly went out from their house to buy food for dinner as claimed by her mother, were released immediately to their parents and guardians while 59 adults were freed after they did 50 push ups.
