TWO suspected drug personalities in Bulacan were shot dead by still unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen in separate attacks in the province Wednesday evening, police said yesterday.
The victims were identified as Jonathan de Guzman, a man included in the watch list of the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council in Bgy. Pulo, San Rafael municipality; and Roberto Reyes, of Bgy. San Martin 1, San Jose del Monte City.
According to Bulacan police director Senior Supt. Romeo M. Caramat Jr., De Guzman, 35, self-employed, of Purok 1, Bgy. Pulo, was gunned down by one of two motorbike-riding men at 6:50 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigation showed that the victim was driving his tricycle on his way to deliver charcoal to nearby Bgy. Lico when shot repeatedly by the killer who trailed him shortly after he left his residence.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds in the head and died on the spot. Responding policemen recovered nine spent for cal. .45 cartridges and a slug for cal. .45 at the scene.
Around 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Reyes was gunned down on Sampaguita St., Purok 1, Bgy. San Martin, San Jose del Monte City. Caramat said the killers left a white bond paper with a note ‘Salot sa lipunan, droga iwasan. ’Wag tularan.’ The official said that investigators recovered four spent .45 casings, a deformed bullet and a live ammunition for cal. .45 at the scene.
